Qatar National Sport Day a smash hit for Laurel
Qatar is one of the few nations worldwide to dedicate a Day of Sport for its society. The National Sport Day is celebrated every second Tuesday of February and is an initiative adopted by HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent in 2012.
Laurel delivered the Communication and Promotional activities for the NSD with great success by contributing in the creation of awareness in the lead up and during the event through a massive coverage of the event consisting of daily press releases, officials' and athletes' interviews and various photo shootings.
The response of the local and international media in Laurel's mass production of information surrounding the event was remarkable and incomparable with that of other similar events worldwide.
In addition Laurel personnel operated a five-day functional Media Centre located at the Sport Zone where sport and recreational activities open for all were featured
